Leading with integrity begins with self-reflection.
In the past, I believed leadership primarily revolved around how I interacted with others: clear communication, wise decisions, and a strong presence. However, my second season of self-discovery has revealed a different truth: the true essence of leadership lies in my actions when no one is observing.
This realization has led me to adopt several changes in my approach:
· I now prioritize slowing down instead of rushing through tasks.
· I acknowledge mistakes and learn from them, rather than repeating them.
· I choose honesty over comfort, even when it means confronting myself.
Leadership is not merely about performance; it is about alignment. Alignment does not imply perfection; it means embracing your values, even when it is challenging. Whenever I pause to ask myself, “Is this aligned with who I aspire to be?” I find that I lead and live a better life.
If you are currently in a phase of redefining what leadership means to you, begin by focusing on the quiet decisions that often go unnoticed. These are the moments where your true power resides.
