Here’s a truth that keeps circling back to me:
You can’t lead others well if you’re constantly abandoning yourself.
Not for approval.
Not to keep the peace.
Not to meet expectations you never agreed to in the first place.
Leadership isn’t about being everything to everyone. It’s about being deeply rooted in who you are, so you can show up with clarity, courage, and compassion… even when it’s uncomfortable.
The people around you don’t need a perfect leader.
They need a present one.
An honest one.
One who’s still human, still growing, and still willing to take the next right step, even with shaky hands.
So if you’ve been trying to lead from a place of burnout, disconnection, or self-betrayal, this is your reminder:
You don’t have to disappear to be respected.
You don’t have to over-function to prove your worth.
Start by honoring your own voice again.
Then lead from that place.
